A Collaborative Movement
Using principles of collaboration, over 100 community-based members have joined together with the national organisation Mission Australia to help stimulate collective action and sustain the long-term changes they want to see.
Our Vision
“Happy and healthy young people contributing to a brighter future in Cairns South”
Was developed to represent the desire for our children and young people to have the well-being, support and opportunities they need to grow and thrive.
Our Mission
By 2030
We will make an incremental localised impact to improve the life of children and their families in Cairns South through:
Collectivism
Taking a collective approach to strengthening communities and tackling complex systems
Evidence
Using evidence-based decision-making to help families overcome intergenerational disadvantage
Listening
Seeking out and listening to the voices of the vulnerable and including them in our decision-making
Celebrating
Connecting with our community, celebrating its diversity and success
